I did a similar mod on my Coach, but I used polished stainless steel. Are you using actual "mirrors" (glass)?

I tied the lighting to the step motor circuit so they come on when the step comes out as the door is opened (or you can turn on the porch light).

The only downside is that the step treads are a little narrow (and my feet are big) so the toe of my shoe will sometimes bump against the ss and makes a scuff mark - that then needs to be polished out.

Nice job guys.

I do like the fogged lighting tubes you used to defuse the LED light dots a bit, nice effect.

Can the LED's be mounted to the top of inside the fogged strips facing down as to not have the dot effect?

Happy Trails

You would have to build the steps with some overhang - but it could be done.

But the top level has the slide-out "step opening cover" so I'm not sure how that could be done with underlighting.

PS: The "dot effect" is more pronounced in the photo than it actually looks. At least with the lighting strips I used.

Hi
Yes the mirror was cut apx 4mm short so I can still bring out the top step if I needed to.

No dimmer no point really thay look great at the brightness as thay are.

I have wired them up so when you turn on the outside light it turn on everything.

I pulled and removed the carpet and made the glass mirror apx 5mm narrower so the step can still come out.
