So we’re cruising down I-70 after about a 2300 mile round trip to the SC coast. Everything was flawless, until - the center/flat glass in our drivers side mirror decides to blow off! And here’s what we’re left with . . .

Does the replacement glass come with the attaching fixture that mounts directly to what’s left?

There are basically 2 suppliers of mirrors. Ramco & Velvac.
You have to figure which one you have. I know that Velvac has info on their website as to parts. I knocked one of my mirrors off and called Velvac and customer support provided me with the correct parts and I had the parts overnighted. They also had instructions on how to disassemble and repair.

Velvac mirror, heated with turn signal - drivers side 70963 - passenger side 70964. - $100 free shipping. Instructions included. Yes, the mirror just clicks into place. Little plastic retaining tabs. They break and the mirror falls out. Just replaced one of mine. I hope this helps. Mike

I never had any problems with my Velvac mirrors. The double-faced tape Ramco uses dries out and lets the mirror fall off. You can buy a replacement mirror from them. It's double-faced taped on to the plastic that snaps in place.
Be sure to identify which brand and model of mirror you have before ordering.

Thanks for your replies! Ours are Velvac mirrors - I believe model 2030 - & we ordered the mirror glass and the mounting plastic directly from Velvac. Hopefully they got me the right stuff. We’ll know shortly!

Thanks again!
