Mirror Parts List
I’ve got an 05 Knight. Does anyone have a parts list for the side mirror set up? My passenger side mirror appears to be worn and won’t tighten all the way. The mirror starts in the upright position but eventually tilts outward during the drive.

There were only 2 makers of mirrors that I know of: Ramco and Velvac. I have Ramco and it's pretty easy to get parts: https://www.ramco-eng.com/ and Velvac: https://www.velvac.com/where-buy/order-rv-mirrors. My guess is you have Ramco as many of the coaches above the Knight had Velvac. Best of luck.

Common problem as the wood screws get loose in the wood backing. Try larger wood screws.

If you talking about the main base . I have two loose lag bolts, have tried bigger lag screws the heads are too big unless you grind them down to smaller hex. I haven't tried longer to just go deeper into the wood yet. It have heard of others been able to use nuts behind ,my guess is that they have slide genny to reach up in there. I'm going try dowels or something like fiberglass arrow tubes and epoxy before climbing up in genny cavity.

I epoxied 1/4” nuts in 1/2” holes for the top two, so I could use bolts. Getting the direction of the bolt the same is very important. Put Teflon tape on either side of the nut, plenty of 5 minute epoxy on the nut and in the hole. Had to hold the longer bolt in place until hardened and then the Teflon tape lets you remove the bolt.
I would do one at a time after measuring how far apart the bolts need to be...leaving 3 screws in which you measure from to position the first bolt.

Fushux, thank you for this post. I had already bought 2 Ramco mirror base gaskets a couple of weeks ago. This post reminded me to knock this job out. I did it today and thought I would post pictures. The hardest part is scraping the glue from the old gaskets away. My gaskets shrunk and were deteriorated and my left mirror bounced a tiny bit over certain road conditions. These mirrors are only held in with wood lag screws and not a nut and bolt. Hard to believe Monaco couldn't spend another dollar for a bolt, washers and nut. The new gaskets are a bit smaller than the opening. I guess Monaco painted these coaches with the mirrors on. I now have a small white trim around the base:-) In the photos below, you can see the wood screw and then the bolt I used. I have an inside the generator compartment picture as well. If you are wondering what those "L" brackets are, they strength the front cap to the dash bulkhead. Without these, my wipers would occasionally bounce up and down over bumps in the road. When I called Monaco they couldn't help me figure this issue out. I eventually got a mechanic on the factory floor to talk to and he told me to do this. It works. Oh well, on to the next project of installing 2 air solenoids to temporarily raise my ear end to clear my driveway. This way, I don't have to summon my son to put wood blocks down:-) Cheers.

Here's a few before and after pics of the exact same repair I had to do on the left mirror on my '05 Knight. I ended up removing the old wooden dowels from the mounting holes. I cleaned up the holes, measured the diameter(IIRC, it was 1/2") went to the local hardware store and bought a hardwood dowel the same diameter. I cut 4 plugs to length and glued them in the holes then drilled holes for the lag screws after marking the proper screw hole centers.
The mirror is nice and solid now. I did a much better job than the "professionals" who remounted them during the collision repair if I say so myself. The mirror is pretty heavy so an extra pair of hands can come in handy when you're trying to hold it while marking the spots to drill. BTW, I recommend you not continue to drive the coach until you repair it. Have you priced a new mirror?

I have access to the back side when gen door is open. I drilled the holes completely thru and used stainless bolts with large flat washers and lock nuts on the inside. Was easy fix for me.
