Thanks. It makes year round maintenance a bit nicer but when I have to open the RV bay door I prefer the temps closer to 50~ish degrees or above.
That air over hydraulic jack seem to have gotten a lot of action over the past couple of years along with the 22-ton jackstands.

Yesterday my new gas struts arrived for my compartment doors and engine hatch.
I'm just about caught up on side jobs then I can take a break and get a few things done on the coach before the travel season begins.

Seems like it's always something. I've replaced several of these over the years and carry a couple spares.
One area that was a real pain was lifting my bed to access underneath. In all her wisdom my wife insists on a heavy foam cover, which required a lot of effort to lift. So a couple years ago I installed a single 12 volt actuator with remote. When I was doing my floor remodel and had to have the bed apart I was contemplating doing away with the gas struts and added another actuator. But after looking at mounting options and bed construction I decided to stick with what I had, just reinforced the mount a little. Even with the 12 volt actuator I still have to help it a little but not an effort at all

Jim, I've noticed our bed has gotten a bit heavier over the years with the same addition of a pillow top pad that the wife had to add.
As for the compartment struts, I replaced more than half of them about ten years ago and then one here and there since. Last year I purchased a couple of new ones so I figured rather than replace one here and one there over the next ten years I would just put those two from last year on a compartment door that I don't get into very often and replace all of the others with new ones.
As for the engine hatch, I replaced them about 5 years ago before having the coach painted and I have NOT been impressed with the ones I purchased so I thought I would try again. I hate things not working properly....

Did you get them directly from Suspa or a online dealer?
Thanks Mike!

I purchased these ones from liftsupportsdepot.com. They are genuine Suspa brand. The last ones I installed were a knock-off that I purchased from NAPA. They didn't seem to last very long though.

The engine hatch ones are part # C16-12181-W. They are rated @ 150 pounds of force.
The compartment bay door part #'s are C16-08054-W which are rated @ 100 pounds of force.

Good to see you back at it Mike. We all have missed updates on your various garage projects.

Thanks. I haven't touched the coach since I parked it and serviced it back in November. Work has been crazy busy and I have been loading up the shop with side jobs since then.
Keeping busy and trying to earn enough money to pay for this year's traveling and Jeeping. I have done so many freaking re-gears in various vehicles these past several months I am starting to see gears in my sleep. They're getting kind of old and welcome the changes.
I only have a couple of smaller items to do on the coach prior to this year's travels, nothing like the major work last year. I am nearing my jumping off point of side jobs so I can get the ole' girl ready for travel.
