Monaco awning won't open

My Monaco awning won't open. Where would I check for a short?

Is there a plug in on the side of the coach? Like a twist plug? Check for power while someone pushes the switch. Clean the connections while your there.
Will it move if you help it?

The next question is..... Are you talking about the patio awning or a door awning?
