The dealer told me that it needs a new aqua hot system and it'll cost around $8,000-$10,000. I was wondering if that sounds right for a system or if its something I can find used for less? Or could I even put a different hot water system altogether in the Monaco? This will be the first motorhome that I own so I'd appreciate any feedback I can get on this.

Depending on where you are located there may be a good aquahot mobile service nearby. It might be worthwhile to have a qualified service determine the problem.
