Monaco fold down tv replacement

We have a 2007 Monaco Dynasty IV with a fold down out of the ceiling TV that the sound has went out so we are going to replace it. Current TV was a Sony Plasma TV. My question is what kind of TV should be used for replacement. We are inclined to just go to our local TV stores and pick up the biggest one that will fit the opening. Any suggestions on brand and type of TV would be appreciated. Will our repair facility have trouble matching up the mounting brackets? I hope our current TV has the HDMI input cord but 2007 is about the cutoff year for the newer HDMI cords so we won't know until they remove the unit. I do know the newer TV's are a lot cooler than the plasma units although the plasma's delivered great fidelity. While the coach is in the repair facility we are having work done on the passenger foot rest mechanism which is week and a minor drain drip on the Aqua Hot. Always something with our coach we call Miss Christine. Thanks and good RVing for everyone.

We put a Sony 55 inch OLED in our 2007 Beaver Patriot to replace the original plasma. VERY tight fit but made it. Did it myself. There was one HDMI cable run to the audio/video compartment, two composit cables.

Monaco TV Replacement

Was you able to use the same TV mounting frame without any modifications?

In our 2007 Navigator, I replaced the tilt down TV with a Sharp 50" LED TV. That left room for a soundbar below the TV. I did have to make a couple of aluminum bars to mount the TV to the existing mechanism.

We replaced the fold down TV in our SIG with a Visio and was able to mount a sound bar above it in the fould down. Had to drill a couple of holes in the mount. Just went to Costco and bought the largest Visio that would fit in the mount. No big deal to mount it.

I replaced our original $6700 Sharp 37" Plasma TV in the ceiling lift with a Samsung 50" 4k TV from Costco. I made a plywood adapter to fit the new TV because the original Sharp plasma TV used a 200 X 200mm VESA mount and the new Samsung uses a 400 X 400mm VESA pattern. This new TV fits almost perfect into the ceiling lift.

I also had to route HDMI cables from the TV to the audio/video cabinet. The original plasma TV did not use HDMI cables.

A 2007 coach was probably built in 2006 with many components from 2005. I'd plan on adding HDMI cables and also the power cord.
