Monaco headlight relay

I recently lost head lights only on my 94 Monaco Executive. I'm assuming the head light switch must control a relay since there is a big difference in size of wires leading in and out of head light switch compared to size of wires from dimmer switch to the head lights. I have been doing most all of my own repairs for years, but I have no idea where that relay is, anyone out there know?

Take a look at these 92 Dynasty drawings (if you can read them)

Do you have a front run bay. That's where mine is on my 2001

Thanks for the replys, don't have an area labeled "Front Run Bay" although there's an electric panel just forward of driver side steering wheel, but didn't see it in there.

I have a 1996 Monaco Signature and have done lots of electrical work on this unit (and haven't we all?) My headlights have 2 relays (right headlight and left headlight) and a 12 volt overload breaker also. These are all in the electrical bay under the drivers area. It could even be the dimmer switch as I have had these go south also but they usually start to flicker the headlights first. Check your headlight switch itself as mine melted the plug right into the switch. If you trace the wiring far enough you should find the culprit. I know your configuration may be different than my unit but I bet they wired them similar (and poorly).

Thanks for the tips. My dimmer switch is ok, I ended up running a hot wire directly to it to get home (FL to OH) I also burned out a headlight switch several years ago, had a problem finding replacement it ended up being same a 64/65 Chevy P/U uses. Haven't gotten back to trouble shooting it more, will post what I find out.

Please do reply when you find the problem. That headlight switch is the same for a few years. I got mine out of a 1979 Chev Van,,, LOL

Monaco Headlight Relay

Located fuses and relays in front outside electric panel. A schematic with fuse ratings and what they power is located on compartment door, but can't locate information anywhere concerning the relays. Someone sent me a schematic of the relays, but the names are too small and distorted even when blown up. I have enclosed pictures of the panel.

Tough one. Now you are going to have to trace colours.

Took about 3 months of off and on troubling shooting this, problem turned out to be a burned connected in headlight wiring connect plug that connects head lights and running light wiring to rest of coach. Spliced that wire around the plug and fixed the problem. My dimmer(foot type) is also erratic in bright position. anyone know where to find a match?

I think it will be old GM. I use old GM vans for just about all my headlight replacement parts. Try late 70's early 80's.
