Monaco model letters
Im working on a deal for a 2004 Monaco Camelot 38PST with 33k miles on the 400 Cummins. Any heads up on that model?
Also can someone tell me what all the different letters stand for in Monaco's coaches?
im refering to PDQ, PST, and all the others
thanks

There are different theories on the 1st 2 letters. I'd be interested in hear everyone's theory on those.
The last letter is the number of slides. So a Q is a quad slide. T is a triple.

My Ambassador is a DFD.
Third letter confirmed: double slide.
Second letter (possible): Full (we have a full wall slide)
First letter (well...): at least for ours, the ones with a D as the first letter have a full bath in the rear, and half bath forward.
IMHO, only the third letter is truly known: number of slides (S, D, T, Q). I'm sure there is little agreement between unrelated manufacturers.

So I have to assume that the III designates 3 slides. The Palace seems to indicate the floor plan, which is one couch on the pass side and a desk, chair, computer desk on the drivers side.

You sure you don't have that backwards ?
'PDQ' is a common floor plan.

My old "96" is a no slide model and the PB is for private bath, I think? It has the separate "Throne Room", with its own door, then the rest of the bathroom area, has two solid wood pocket doors, to close the whole bathroom area off from the kitchen/dining and the bedroom! I fell in love with this floor plan, because of the big kitchen and all the counter space, and the openness of the whole coach! I was very lucky when I found it for sale, and it had the floorplan that I was looking for! Rail!

Didn't read through the thread again, but I think the only letter we found consistent was the last letter was the number of slides.
Everytime we thought we had nailed down one of the first two letters, someone would come along and blow our theory out of the water !

You're right, but in 2009, they don't offer a 40PDQ, it's a 40QDP ... I've always wondered why????
