Brand newbie here - Just a few questions:
1 - Do I need to belong to FMCA to attend rallies?
2- Along the same lines, do I need to belong to a Monaco club?
3- Does anyone have a good link, website for Monaco clubs? The list on the Monaco site seems rather "out dated".
4 - Anyone know of any Monaco clubs in the Illinois area (Chicagoland)
Thanks for the help!

I am not sure what you mean by the list being dated. Yes you must be a member of FMCA to attend rallies. You also must be a member of FMCA to join any of the Chapters associated with FMCA. The Monaco International Chapter in the link above is a chapter of the FMCA. There are many chapters under the FMCA banner and you should be able to find one that interest you in your area. There are very few chapters that are brand specific as in Monaco. The Monaco International chapter is a national chapter and has members located all over the U.S. and Canada.

Thanks. I guess I feel the list is "dated" because only a few clubs seem to have websites. I think my first step will be to join FMCA!

You do not need to be a member to attend the FMCA Perry rally but they charge $50 for non members http://www.fmca.com/conventions-64/p...ister-now.html
FMCA has a good magazine and now includes FMCA assist for your rig. Those alone are worth the annual membership.

Anyone going to Perry and you or your spouse is under 60? If so pm me for info on joining FMCAs new Under 60 Task Force. It's free and fun. We have about 80 of us going so far.

30 and 50 amp service are still available at Perry. http://www.fmca.com/conventions-64/p...ister-now.html It is a good idea to bring an extension cord and water hose. While not included....sometimes you can reach a hose bib to top off your tanks.
There is a dump station on the grounds

Depends on where you live. Perry is a good rally for venders and coach displays but there is not a lot to do in the Perry area outside the grounds. We have fun on the grounds. The eastern area had their regional rally is Asheville and that was a lot of fun. Much smaller rally since it was regional. Eastern is moving theirs to West Virginia next year.
There is another national rally in August in Massachusetts.

REV Techs in Moultrie
I got an email yesterday from REV Recreation Group informing me that they will have techs at the Moultrie Monaco International Rally and that they will be doing minor repairs.
"A maximum of two (2) repairs totaling no more than 60 minutes of repair time per motor home will be allotted as we have limited time and materials. Repairs listed should be functional items or safety items. Painting and items that are not functional will not be addressed at the rally."
You have to complete an online form by Feb 18 in order to receive service. When you complete the form you need to be specific as to what you want done and what part(s) REV needs to bring to the rally for your repairs.
They do plan to have the parts trailer there but they are requesting that if you want a part that you call them now so they can have it available. They did say that parts will be discounted (how much???).
The rally will probably be small... about 200 coaches so the techs should be able to accommodate all of the attendees.
Hope to see you there.
