Hi all,

Has anyone been to the Monaco RV Club Forum?

Monaco RV Club Forum

I found it while searching for Monaco "talk" since we've odered the Contessa. Not that this forum isn't good. I was just wondering. Appears to be a fairly new forum.

Bruce,

I just dropped into that site, it's new with 23 members. Every forum has to have it's starting point. Diversity in opinions makes the world go around. You could also go to Monaco owners group at Yahoo, which is even a much larger group.

Thanks radarr. I just went over to Monaco Owners Group and read it's for "Monaco" owners only, not Beaver.

Bruce, there is more than one discussion group for Monaco owners on Yahoo. This one invites ALL MCC owners to participate regardless of brand;

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Monacoers

There are many knowledgable Monaco, Beaver, HR, Safari, etc. owners in this group.

The Monaco Owners Forum here on iRV2 was added not long ago at the request of several Monaco owners and thus is in it's infancy stage itself...

One benefit I see in the iRV2 forums is the ability to post photos directly into posts,as well as the "real time" nature of the postings...

I am a bit disappointed in the Yahoo Newmar Owners Forums as it appears the "list owner" moderates EVERY post on his own time schedule. Having posted on a fan hub issue over there for the past several days, it was very unnerving not to be able to follow the discussion and several members resorted to emailing me with their queries and comments.

There are indeed many different sources of information for RV owners on the internet, we are fortunate to live in a Country where we can choose.

The new Monaco forum is much in a much better format than the Yahoo forum.

I hate the Yahoo format. It isn't easy to browse. I sometimes don't have anything in particular I'm interested in, I'm just looking. If that can be done in the Yahoo format, I haven't figured it out.

I like this forum too.

By clicking the "message" button on the YAhoo forum you can see all the messages chronologically by number...Sort of a long way to get it done, but it works.

I'm with you, Bob, in that the Yahoo forum (and format) is very frustrating.
I tried posting something one time, and it took forever til the Moderator 'reviewed' his posting-backlog and decided to publish them. It's also a bit confusing when navigating thru the postings.

I agree on the format...the MCOA and Monacoers forums on Yahoo have great content and knowledgable members, but the email based systems go back to the old internet newsgroups, which were part of the original public internet "features." One of Google's best features in the mid 90's was the ability to search the content of newsgroups, which was a real boon to anyone that was trying to survive Windows 3.1 or 95! Web browser based forums like this are much more user friendly, easier to navigate, search, etc.
