There is most likely a fuse in a main fuse panel. If you have a front run bay, it may be there. There is also a fuse at the electric motor that powers the hydraulic pump. There will be a fuse for each slide the pump operates.

There is a solenoid valve at the pump that must also work when the pump runs. It can stick but is likely just not making contact. Try cleaning the connections, there may be a fuse at the solenoid, also.

Thanks for all of the replies, we found two ground wires that were loose and just hanging down near the front of the generator, the wires were to be connected to the pump or something.

I have a 2000 sig with the same intermittent problem, sometimes it works and others, not. On mine the main living room/kitchen slide is operated by the same hydraulic pump. If yours is the same try extending the slide out then back in. Then try the gen slide. Works for me. Don't know why but it does.

Hate to say it but "get ready for a lot of this". Any time you have a problem with something look at the wiring at the unit and follow the wiring about a foot or two from the unit. I always find the problem with the wiring. Usually a loose connection or a green corroded wire connector in the loom.

gen set wont slide out
I had the very same problem on my 2002 Monaco Windsor 40 PBT.. If
the pump whirles, is it probably not a fuse.. Mine was the directional valve
located on the cylinder.. If it get a little dirt in it it will not open in direction.
I removed the cylinder w/ valve attached. took it to a hydraulic cylinder and had it repaired.. It is not a big deal if you have mechanical ability..
If you want to try it, I will talk you through it... let me know
