Monaco storage door

Hi All,
I purchased a used Monaco La Palma, in which one of the storage compartment doors has been damaged in the past. It has been slightly bent {probably along with the hinge for that matter} to the point it will only close and allow one of the two locks to engage.

Does anyone know where I would find a replacement? This winter, I plan to take it apart and see just how badly things are bent, etc.

Thanks,
jb

What year coach do you have and what type of hinge. Sounds like you have a side opening door versus top opening.

you have 2 options if the door is not fixable.

1-Buy a used one from salvage yard if possible. RV Exterior Body Panels Used RV Parts For Sale | rvexteriorbodypanels.visonerv.com?
Visione deals in these if they have one that will work but you will still have to get it painted.
2-Take it to an auto shop that is capable of making a new metal cover and then painting.

On my 2002 Windsor my wife hit a post pulling out of a fuel bay. The post was the right height to crush the top hinge on 3 of my bay doors, damaged a portion of the bottom of the slide, scraped 2 doors at the bottom, and damaged 1 door pretty bad. I got a quote for a small door from Visione, $500 and I would still have to paint. I did buy 1/2 part of the top hinge that attached to the RV. The 1/2 of the hinge that attached to the door I bought from Monaco.

I was able to fix myself with the hardest part being to straighten the small door and then repainting everything >>> 3 different colors with design. I used BASF Diamont paint, got the color codes from Monaco.

Although I can tell where the damage is most people can't tell it has been fixed. Total cost was $250 for the hinge pieces & $200 for the paint. +20 hours of labor was free.

Good luck

Thanks Jim.
I should have put more info in my thread - coach is a 2006. It is a top-opening door. I'm not exactly sure,... but given the location - I would guess prior owner tried bringing in the slide, while the storage door was still up.
A winter project will be to take the door right off and see what exactly the damage is [I have only owned the coach since August]. Since I could still get one lock engaged, I wasn't too worried over the few times we used the coach since we purchased.

Thanks again Jim.
