I have a 2005 Monarch SE and the dash air works but it only comes out the defrost vents heat also. No matter where I place the selector switch the fan blows out the defroster vent. Some also leaks out the floor vent. Any one know where to start?

It may be hard to get at but you should check the function of the actuators on the hevac unit. They may be vacuum or electric. If they are vacuum look for a line off or leaking. Thats the simple stuff, but should be done first. Good luck.

When your ac/heat control system loses it's vacuum it switches to the default position which is defrost. As said above--look for a vacuum leak. Possibly the pump, vacuum reservoir or loose hose.

Thanks I took a look at it this afternoon and is is vacuum activated. The main vacuum feed runs into the engine compartment. I will have to take the dog house off and trace it further. Again thanks.
