Mop and Glo?

Anyone ever heard of using Mop and Glo on Monaco Roof to help seal and prevent streaks down coach.

I've used it on 2 different motorhomes, it works great. scrub the roof good to get the old residue off and then take a sponge mop and mop it on. You might want 2 coats if it's not been done before. It lasts about a year. I can usually get it scrubbed and mopped in an afternoon. I use a long handled brush so I don't have to scrub it on my hands & knees.

I've done this annually for several years now. I use Mr Clean Magic Eraser on a sponge mop followed by 2 coats of M&G. Works great. I've heard that the Zep High Traffic also works & some think it lasts longer than M&G.

This summer a trucker I was talking with recommended Mop and Glow for your tires. Have any of you heard about doing this? Apparently it's less expensive than tire sprays and works well.

I recall some folks tried M&G on their boots for inspection. Worked great for the inspection but the next day inspection they were cracked and peeling. Not sure I would apply to the tires.

I am having Nyalic applied to my roof while it is in the shop. I found out about while building wooden boats. Applied to the bottom of one boat and hardly anything stuck to it. Spendy at about $90/qt (qt covers 350 sq/ft).

I use it in the spring and again in late fall. It works well, is inexpensive and easy to do.

Old trucker trick. CMV drivers pulling doubles or tankers could afford to use Mop N Glo on all mud flaps and tires. Even works well on rubber floor mats in trucks. This was an affordable solution compared to Armor All.

In use a damp sponge with a light soak or M&G and apply to the rubber step entrance on the Diplomat.

It is not slippery like using Armor All.

I've been applying Mop & Glo every spring for 5 years now. It does a fine job of protecting the finish on the roof, makes the roof easy to clean and is easy to apply. I recommend it.

M&G does work. A couple caveats: only lasts me 2-3 months, and you must be careful to avoid drips over the side as they will leave a trail you can see. No matter how tempting, don't put M&G on your a/c shrouds or vent covers, etc. M&G is cheap and easy to apply.

Should have told me earlier Stu I used plenty of it and let it just run down the sides. Spend hours getting it all off. Won't do that again.

However, the roof looked nice.
