Motor wash no turn signals little help please.

Had an antifreeze leak. Truck wash sprayed off engine. Now no turn signals. I unhooked wire harness on each side leading to tail lightes thinking maybe water got in. Sat two days but not the problem. No fuses, 07 Beaver Marquis. Bad thing we are in Mexico and darn sure don’t want to get stopped. Any thoughts guys?
Thanks in advance flor any advice.

Safe travels

I'm thinking about what could be wrong - a couple of questions to help narrow down a few things: With all the wiring/connectors at the rear of coach plugged back in -
When you put on a turn signal, does the corresponding bulb at the front of the Coach light up?
Do the emergency flashers work (front and back)?
Do the tail lights work?
Do the brake lights work?

Great questions from CountryB. I also wonder if they were using a pressure washer if they didn't get a lot of water into the rear run box. By now, if that were the case, you'd probably be back in business, but it might be worth checking.

Also, a little more info on your headlight question. If you have a DRL module, it is probably mounted on the "ceiling" of the front run box. On ours it is maybe 4" or 5" square and an inch or so thick. I don't remember it being very well labeled. I am attaching two drawings. One is the schematic for the headlights (on our '06 Dynasty) and the other is a schematic for the Smartwheel unit. Unfortunately, the schematic shows one of those relays being HI beam and the other LO beam, whereas ours and likely yours had them re-purposed to be LT HI Beam and RT HI Beam. But the control logic is pretty much the same.

Please don't consider yourself to be a novice. I see you as one of the "go to guys" on the forum. Let us know how you make out on both your headlight issue and your rear turn signal issue. And stay well!!

Looks like the relay for turn and low beam is the same one? Could be the answer to both of my problems. On the schematic do the small rectangular boxes in the wires Halley to mean inline fuze or fuze at all? Thanks for schematic. Very helpful.

I'm going to throw this out....... On our 2008 Monaco Dynasty, my turn signals would stop working.

I found that there was a 'module' in the front run-bay outside under the driver's seat. It would vibrate loose from it's connection causing the problem.

I had to 'rubber-band' it to the socket to stay in and that worked perfectly until I sold it. I did replace the rubber band a couple of times.

Safe travels,
Mark

Replaced DLR relay with another relay. No change. Power to everything in wireing diagrams except no power at turn signal bulb receptacle. We have a tow plug in back area of engine. The cap was off it so I’m sure it got wet.

Mark not sure I can find a module as you describe? I was able to track power to the P12 pin 2. It has power. There is power to the last left screw on top bar as described. Front signal light does not come on with the Turn signal switch. Put in a new relay where DLR breaker was. No difference. There seems to be power at all right spots up front. No power coming through whirring harness at the rear to the lights except tail and brake lights. I switched a couple breakers around but no change. Not sure where the m41 pin 7 is.

Flying Butch, I'm not sure if your coach was set-up like my Dynasty but in the run bay (up front, outside), the module was on the right as you open the door. It's on the right 'side-wall' of that bay.

It's been 6 yrs. since I've seen it. If I remember correctly, it was a about a one inch square module.

Mark

Hot damn, and just in time for Happy Hour?? Of course that could be any time! Mr Mark, you hit it in the head. I just bumped the “thing” you described and signals started working?? Haven’t figured out no low beams yet but really important thing solved. Thanks all for bearing with me. Hope I can help someone out sometime.

Safe travels all

What do you mean "no fuses". You cannot find a fuse for the TS in the main fuse panel? In my 2003 Monaco Knight, it appears they forgot to install a fuse for my TS in the main fuse panel, so they added a tiny fuse holder with 2 or 3 fuses in it, black with a cap on the top it and labeled. One time, I blew a TS fuse and spent an hour trying to find it and then while I had my head in the forward bay where the main fuse panel was, I started looking to the right of the panel near the air chuck connector and found this. Maybe your fuse is like mine.

Flying B, make sure that you secure the module with a rubber band!

So glad that I could help.

Full steam ahead!
