A 50 amp RV transfer switch, switchs two incoming lines from the shore power post and generator. L1 and L2 along with Neutral.

If the auto transfer switch is bad or has some faulty connections it can cause whats happening. L1 or L2 may not be switching.

Of course, a bad connection at the shore power outlet, the wiring to it, the shore power plug and cord, right up to the auto transfer switch can also cause this.

At the auto transfer switch is where the generator input ties in. If all is good on generator power, thats the logical point to start checking the wiring BACK towards the shore power source.

If you are using an adaptor to a standard 15/20 amp or 30 amp outlet to power your RV, you need to check that. It is a point where 1 leg of shore power splits to the 2 legs of your RVs 50 amp service.

Twinboat has it coach is OK from transfer switch on and Gen to transfer switch. If your handy and have a meter, turnoff all power, remove transfer switch cover. Tighten all connection screws. Now check continuity from each post on 50 amp plug to transfer switch. Now be careful plug into shore power and you should hear a clunk from transfer switch, test for power at cord connections and at output of transfer switch to coach. If you are not comfortable with the power up get a pro. With all power off and that includes batteries there is nothing you can do to do harm. Good luck.

@twinboat is on to something here. The "50amp" power actually two 50a,120vAC circuits. If some of your AC circuits do not work and some do, it could be that one of the Xfer switch relays are bad. If you don't have one already, get one of those plug-in-GFI testers; they run $5-$10 at places like Home Depot or Lowes. Then, after you follow OLYLEN's suggestions, power up and try every outlet with the tester.
