My Monaco is definitely smarter than I am!

Thank goodness Monaco built this coach to protect us dummies! Today I had been working in the storage bays under the slides. Without thinking I went inside and tried to run the slides out with the bay doors open! Praise the Lord! The slides wouldn't move! Then it hit me what was wrong. I went out and closed the bay doors and the slides worked just fine! I hate to think what the slides would have done to the paint on the bay doors! Somebody needs to write a book titled "Motorhome operation for Dummies!

They need to find a way to automatically move the drivers seat forward when the slide goes in or out. It's a wonder I haven't pulled it out of the floor. I does tho sit a little crooked. As many times as I have done it, you would think I would remember. I would buy a "Motorhome for Dummies" book.....

Joe, I did exactly the same thing a couple weeks ago. I was working on a electrical problem I stupidly caused myself and went to run the slide out and it wouldn't work. After a bunch of words I started out to open the door for the fuse compartment and seen that I had left the compartment door open. That is a really good feature on these coaches. I would of been repainting a door for sure.

Already done... I was in a friends 2007 Monaco Signature and when you moved in the street side slide it first moved the drivers seat all the way forward...

You must REALLY like your copilot seat to want to get a Monaco Signature for it.

The guy who owned our HR before us got a "Labeller" and put a "Move Drivers Seat Forward" label just above the main slide switch.

At first I thought "Are you kidding me?" and the proceeded to move the slide out the next two times without moving the seat, only to catch myself. Then I got it!

Maybe we just need a "Labeller For Dummies!"

A circuit could be built to either slide the seats forward which would be fantastic or at least supply a warning.

Just how much would you spend for the option? Being a pilot I just use the old checklist and my wife. I laminate a checklist and keep it handy. It is just too easy to get distracted with grandchildren running about.
