recall

I am presently at Alliance Coach inWildwood FL. 1st warranty work to be done since buying in September of 2012. Mostly small items to be fixed. Asked about the recall and was told they do not do any engine work, and it would have to be worked on by Navistar. Have to follow up and see where Navistar work can be done. Will post more when I know.

Spoke with Navistar customer service. As I am in Florida, they gave me a name and phone # in Ocala. They were to check for the part and call me back.......no call yet. They are a Freightliner facility, and new just what I was asking about. As the engine will die without any warning, I need to get this fixed before heading North, and 1000 miles +.

We had it happen to us

We had our 2013 Knight suddenly stop while crusing down Interstate 75 in Florida heading for the Keys. We had to be towed to a safe spot off the highway until CoachNet could find an authorized dealer to work on the coach. Ended up in a Walmart in North Pont Fl for two days then up to Sarasota to Sun State International. They diagnosed the problem as the IPR Harness. Not fun to suddenly lose all power. We are really forturnate to be in an area to pull over and not going down a mountain without power. So two tows, two hotel days and delay of Keys vacation (non refundable) and we were back on the road. Sun State was great. Had oil change at Alliance later and asked them to check to be sure the repair was done correctly, but found out Alliance doesn't work on engines. Friend ours sent us the recall notice he obtained from the 419 HR Diesel Pushers. Formal recall to be announced March 18th when they have enought parts to met the demand. Monaco paying for our hotel and CoachNet was great and paid full on both tows. When given the formal rescall notice, I plan on having the work rechecked to be sure all is correct.

Thumbs up

Had the recall done at Maudlin Internetional Truck in Ocala FL. Did not want to head to Long Island with not having the recall fixed. Took about 2 hours of mechanics time.
