Need help!

I have a 2003 camelot. Developed a hesitation that I pinpointed to a failure in the throttle pedal sensor which is part of the whole gas pedal assembly. Called Monaco, part is no longer available. I'd rather not go used if possible. Does anyone know of any rebuilders where I can send the throttle pedal to have it rebuilt?

Can you get the part number and do a 'Google' search? Just because Monaco does not use the part, does not mean that it might not be used someplace else.
Is the assembly a sealed unit? Would it be possible to spray some contact cleaner in/on it to see if you can get it working better until you can find a replacement?

I'm away with it now when it just developed the problem. When I get home, I will take it out and see what I can do. Unfortunately the company that made it was teleflex who was bought out by kongsberg. I have some homework to do! Finding a rebuilder would be key

Larry ~

You might try giving Rick Black a call. He is the shop schedule advisor with Allied Recreation Group in Decatur, IN. His direct phone number is 260-728-5005. We have a 2008 Monaco Endeavor, and are getting ready to bring our coach there for service. He was able to use our vehicle id # and look up our coach in their system, identifying every part in the coach. Might be a good source of information for you.

You can email this guy, he is the product manager at Kongsberg Automotive Group. I had questions about the pedal assy in my 2008 and he was able to answer everything and provide me with troubleshooting info. Chuck.peniston@ka-group.com

That throttle is a Ford part and there for you should be able to buy it from RockAuto Parts Catalog ......I have used them and they sell new parts that you can't find anywhere else......

www.rockauto.com/catalog/catalog.php

Try this......

I think I made some headway with Monaco. They have an updated pedal assembly, but the harness plug is different. The techs at Monaco are working on a harness pigtail to make it work, just waiting to hear back. I will most likely order it and make the pigtail myself if I don't hear from them. I have a wiring diagram another shop made to make this retrofit work.

Larry,

I had to replace my pedal in 2011. Even at that time, Monaco was no longer keeping that part in stock. Got it from Kongsberg Automotive Power Product Systems Inc., Hagerstown, MD

Good luck..
