Hydraulic powergear levelers system on 2008 Simba Safari diesel pusher 38 ft.
We have been away for four months, RV in storage, we were so happy to come home to Simba our RV.
Batteries were dead, new batteries bought. Started her up and started to raise the hydraulic power gear levelers, no response.... Mmmm. Let the RV run a few hours called good Sams, Mobile RV tech will arrive in 2 hours, yay. RV Tech showed up at 3:30, could barely understand him and when he popped off our Powergear panel, he said on I don't work on these only my son I'm not qualified mechanic. Oh great get out of our RV. We were able to pull up one levelers back right and back left a little.
Next day we let our RV run a few more hours and were able to get the hydraulic powergear levelers up. Yay we were on our way.
We parked in Oregon City making plans to leave today, well the hydraulic powergear levelers came up without a hitch. However power brake alarm came on as if the levelers were down. We were unable to engage power brake
due to the alarm and flashing brake on panel.
We put the levelers back down, several times, slides in and out several times, fuses check, hydraulic fluid checked relays checked. The brake flashing light stopped blinking on dash panel and the alarm stopped.
Still unable to engage power brake to drive and move or reverse....
Help

It is the parking brake not the power brake that will not engage, RV acts like the levelers are down and will not move forward or reverse.

Class A 2008 Simba Safari not recognizing leveler's are up, PB will not engage gear
We have been away for four months, RV in storage, we were so happy to come home to Simba Safari diesel pusher 38 ft Class A freightliner chassis, Cummins engine Allison transmission.
However parking brake alarm came on as if the levelers were down. We were unable to engage parking brake to neutral, drive or reverse on our pushbutton control
due to the alarm and flashing brake on panel thinking the leve let's are down.
We put the levelers back down, several times, slides in and out several times, fuses check, hydraulic fluid checked relays checked. The brake flashing light stopped blinking on dash panel and the alarm stopped.
We are now able to engage the parking brake to drive, neutral or reverse. However the parking brake does not recognize the levelers are up.
Chassis battery switch turned off, now brake light alarm and light on when started. Trying to reset

Ok, I am pretty sure I have the same system as you do. There is a float switch or sensor that measures the level of hydraulic fluid in the reservoir for the levelers. When the levelers are retracted there is more fluid in the tank. On my coach, that pump also moves the main slide. The pump and reservoir should be located next to the battery tray. I have to crawl under the coach to put fluid in it after one of the hoses for the slide broke.

If you have air brakes you also have a pressure switch on the parking brake push pull valve that will make the brake alarm stay on even when the brake is off.

My first thought is to make sure that the hydraulic reservoir is full (do this with the jacks up and slides in).

When filling hydraulic reservoir it is best to lower one jack approx. 6" when filling, then add fluid until alarm quits ( if you have alarm) this protects against over filling. This always worked for me on my Safari.

Reservoir 3/4 quart low. Brake light on and alarm still on, no coach movement forward or reverse. The powergear flashes wait wait if I place in neutral.
