Ok guys, this is the situation. I called monaco today and they said even my stain will not match because stain gets darker as it gets older.

I can't match ur stains either, I needed ur Vin nos.. but I think I will just try the min wax and see how that does.

Thank you everyone for ur help.

I ordered the cherry stain from Sherwin Williams Portland outlet and it is a perfect match to my coach. I paid the $68/gallon, which I thought was a good price. Shipping to Sacramento wasn't too bad either. I have modified my cabinets with virgin redwood stained with this and top coated with satin Minwax and Deft spray lacquer. Can't tell the difference between what I did and OEM.

take a wood sample that is the color you want to Sherwin Williams. They can match it almost perfectly. If you are having to modify or use a different type of wood than was originially installed, take a something originally installed and stained along with piece of the new wood you are installing and they can match it. I had to modify some cabinet work to replace the refer and both tv's, along with a couple of other mods. You cannot tell the replacement wood from the original. They did a great job on the stain.

cherry wood

I had RV Outfitters in Bend Or. replace my TV's and they made new surrounds out of real cherry wood. They use no stain, just clear satin finish. The wood is almost white when new, but after six months, it is the same color as the rest of my Monaco 2006 Dynasty.

This is true , I cracked a large mirror on the side of my refrig compartment
I removed the mirror with the intention to replace it because the wood was
lighter in color there but someone said it would darken and sure enough
it all matches now
I like it better without the mirror

As others have said, cherry does darken with age and it does so pretty rapidly so just get the color tone correct while leaving it a little bit lighter and it will match up nicely in a short time. A good paint store can match to where it will look great. I also mix different minwax colors to get what I want quite often.

Whoops, I didn't see all those replies. Thank you all so much. What i had done was take one of the chairs in and underneath put some stain on it out of the can cause thats what monaco said. Then I redid the part of the chair that was damaged. And it was not a match. When I called back monaco, thats when I learned that is was cherry minx 235, not straight cherry from SW. Anyway this project is on hold now.

Perhaps we will pick it up again when we are back in dry dock....

RamiDav I have to agree with you, Minwax Gunstock is perfect for natural cherry for 2008 Camelot. Carry a little pint with us.
