Neptune 36PFT

Hi Monaco folks, i’m going to look at a 2011 Holiday rambler Neptune 36PFT tomorrow so i would like to know if anybody as some tips to look at ? I learn that there’s a new chassis for 2011 RR8R instead of the RR4R that have ad a lot of suspension problem. So owner of Neptune what will you suggest me to look at before buying, maybe the cons point should be the 340 ISB coppling with the 2500 alison tranny. Thanks all for your advice, have a good day.

Good morning Jf57; read your post last night. The one thing you might want to check out on the web is that year of the ISB Cummin's had the Variable Geometry Turbocharger on the ISB. I remember reading about some problems owners had with that system, but can't say 100% for sure. I hope your hear from an owner of that year of coach. Navistar was just getting started after taking over the bankrupt Monaco. Personally I have not heard anything bad about that year of Neptune. I would do all the checks that are necessary when inspecting the coach. Make sure all systems are working. I see that model has a full wall slide. Navistar was doing a lot of advertising about the full wall slide so I would make sure it operates correctly and check the condition of the slide toppers. All the other usually stuff like age of tires and batteries. A good inspection of the roof for leaks or cracks in the roof sealant. The Neptune of that year has a one piece fiberglass roof and that is great. The 8 air bag chassis to me is a no brainer and should give a good ride.

Have fun today looking/inspecting today and let us know what you think.
