Hmmm, why would a power overload trip a GFI circuit breaker. They only trip if there is an imbalance to one side to ground. You can trip the breaker in the main box from an overload but not the one on an outlet.

The GFCI was never tripped. my ignorance with electrical systems I just figured it was the GFCI when I couldnt find a problem with the breakers. All is well now, Christmas tree is lit, TV is on and we're using the furnace tonight...

For future reference could you list your model motorhome, etc so that others who have the same problem with your same model, etc can benefit from your experience.

Diplomat Don and others,
I recently had a similar problem. I had the coach washed and somehow water got into my GFI. I have one in the bathroom and one at the rear of the coach with a lid on it for the block heater. My GFI tripped and I could not get it re-set until about 9 pm that night. I was going to replace the GFI with a new one. IT has been three days now and it has not tripped again yet. Any ideas how the water got into the GFI???? I checked the regrigerator compartment and it was dry. Will the GFI trip for any other reason than moister getting into it???
