New Flooring / La Palma

just wondering, if I replace the carpet with the laminate type flooring, the slide, will it scratch the floor? I ask because our class c a few years ago I replaced the carpet with the laminate and the slide would "mark" the floor to the point I had to put another pc right along the tracks to prevent scratching. We have a 2000 Monaco la palma class a with the slide and not sure of thickness of carpet compared to laminate, don't want to deal with having to put pieces where it would mark floor every time it comes in ! is the slide on small wheels to glide across the floor when it opens/closes? I don't see any sign of rolling on carpet when it opens but neither did the class c. Anyone with a La Palma replace carpeting? Thanks, Tom

LaPalma flooring

Did you figure this out? I’m looking at replacing the flooring in our ‘99.

You first need to establish what type of rollers you have. I have a flush floor on drivers side and rollers mounted on coach frame on the pax side. I replaced all my tile and carpet with engineered wood. No issues at all.

As long as your slides are adjusted correctly, you shouldn't have any issues.

Just replaced the flooring on our ‘99 LaPalma - went with new carpet and linoleum, looks like new again.

Probable to late, but i'll put my two cents in anyway. My 2004 came with carpet on the slide and wood on the kitchen. No signs of rolling anywhere. As long as you are using a click type replacement you should be fine.
