New Member Having Problems

Hello Everyone! We have enjoyed reading all your posts and tips! We are old campers but new to the world of Motor Home. Thanks for all the posts with your great advice and sharing of your experiences!
This morning I discovered a problem that I'm not sure how to resolve. Ours is a 2002 Holiday Rambler Endeavor. Last night when I shut it down everything was working fine. We had been cleaning our recently purchased home and had the generator on. This morning when I went out I couldn't get the generator to start. It had power to the starter button when I tried to start it. It blinked rapidly 3 times and then no power. I checked for power in the coach and there was no power. The wall panel showed no power. I checked the chasis and house batteries and both switches are on. It had plenty of diesel and the motorhome started fine but no electrical power in the coach. Any ideas?

How much fuel do you have in your tank? The generators fuel pickup will not run your tank below 1/4 tank. So essentially, you have to have more than 1/4 tank of fuel before you generator will run. Just a first guess.

The generator starts off the house batteries. When you left for the night you may have left things on that drained the batteries. If you have a volt meter that is where to start. Next if you can hook to shore power see if anything works there.

Hi Denny & Janie! Welcome to IRV2! It's great to have you!

You will get the best results if you post questions over in the specific areas of the forum since not many folks hang out here in the Welcome area. Maybe one of the Moderators will move this over for you. Enjoy the forum!

Good luck, happy trails, and God bless!

The three flashes indicated a "service" fault. After you get the three flashes, press the Stop button once. This should give you a new sequence of flashes. For example on flash followed by three flashes then a pause and the sequence repeats. Look up the faul code online.
One other thing, make sure all of you A/C are shut down before starting or shutting down your generator.

Check your battery cut-off switch. I've accidently turned mine off too many times to mention.

Yep, check the switch. Usually near the front door. Easy to bump when cleaning.

Welcome to IRV2
If you don't already have an owners manual for your genny I did a google search under Onan Genset and was able to download the manual. It gives all the trouble codes etc. Good Luck and again welcome

On my Onan three blinks followed by a pause and three more blinks etc is a service alert. You then need to press the start button once and it will give you a second problem code. Then you need the manual.

I have the service and parts manuals for the Onan HDKCA/B/D and G if they will help (you didn't post the model of genset). PM me with an email address.
