New Michelins for the coach through FMCA.

Today I bought new set of Michelins for the Knight through the FMCA program.

The cost including labor, etc for six tires was $3580. (275/70R/22.5)

The date codes were 3,4,7 week of 2014

The tires were marked "Made in Spain"

Hankooks were $3200
Nangkang $2200
Firestone $2850
Toyos not available in this size
Non FMCA price for the Michelins were $4420

I also got a quote on MH insurance through FMCA and that quote was $300 less than what I have been paying.

Thanks for the information and advice given on this forum!

Probably fat fingers and he meant to hit the 8 and not the 7. I have 275/80R22.5 XZA3+ on our coach. Michelin does not make a 295/70R22.5 and the 275/80R22.5 is almost identical in circumference and width. Bridgestone does not make a 275/80 so if you were buying Bridgestone you would go with the 295/70.

I have 275/70R22.5 XZA2 ENERGY tires on my rig all around. I just looked at the Michelin site and they still sell these. Not sure what specific tire OP purchased but that size is available from Michelin.

I double checked my tire size and they are 275/70R/22.5

Guess what?

The right front one is flat!

The same tire was low when I picked it up yesterday and the tire sensor alarm was going off.

The salesman thought his guy was sloppy on tire pressures. The other five were spot on.

I have call in to dealer now waiting and weekend trip cancelled.

Just wondering....but could you tell us why you went with the Michelin rather than a cheaper tire...say Hankook?

Are they the "Energy" tire. I have been waiting for the Michelin 275/70/22.5 Energy tire here in the Houston area but they were on back order from Michelin.

As I type this, the dealer is replacing the right front flat tire because I insisted.

He said it would not be balanced.

I suggested he take it and the wheel back to the shop and balance it. That required manager approval. Lol

He claims the leak was from my Pressure Pro cap.
