Haven't heard of anything other than they are moving the plant. Nothing as to when ASV will start producing them

I heard a factory rep say production of 2014's would start late in the fall. Probably be a Bounder with a Monaco logo. LOL

At Monaco Int'l a few weeks back, Monaco Pres. Mike Snell told the group that the first "new" Monaco would be a Dynasty, with a Cummins engine and would be built at the same ASV facility where Fleetwoods are made.

When asked if the Dynasty would be on the S10 chassis.. or a Roadmaster chassis, he could not say.

FWIW

I received this from marketing, 8/1, in response to my asking if Roadmaster was part of the sale and what chassis they would use on new coaches,

"Sorry about not getting back to you. We’re still getting our bearings straight.

As for now, no definitive decision has been made about the chassis. We’re redesigning the product from scratch and making it the best RV in the industry. As the purchase of the assets included the Roadmaster chassis, that is an essential part of the planning.

We’ll have some information to share with our customers in the next month. For now, we’re still at the drawing board.

Do you receive our newsletter? We’ll have an in-depth article about the state of the company in the next issue.

Thank you,"

I'm not sure if I got signed up for the newsletter.

Folks might want to take a look at the monaco and hr sites. There is a survey on what is important to you in a high-end coach,
Help Us Design Your Next Dream Coach
Help Us Design Your Next Dream Coach

8/31 is the cutoff date.

Sorry I didn't see that there was a thread on this already.

Of course owning the Roadmaster chassis Division gives them the right to use the name... The real issue is whether they'll use the Roadmaster design. I recall how secretive Navistar-Monaco was about the chassis on the latest "new Dynasty". At first no information ... then circumlocution using words like "better" ... then finally in print, the S-10 based Dynasty had morphed into an RR-10... but that was still a roadmaster yet they were reluctant to admit the facts.

Now ASV has a choice.. go back to the roadmaster chassis and build the Monaco coaches using the chassis on which they used to be built (the DP coaches that is) ... or make the Monacos yet another diesel coach and bulid them on the same chassis as the Fleetwoods. Of course a possibility I'd like to see (probability < 0.01) is both Monacos and Fleetwoods on roadmaster chassis .

Great idea posting this survey... that is where to tell them in the comments what chassis you want, what engine... etc... and that you don't care about the number of pillows.
