I’ve owned our 2012 Knight for a little over a year. Within the first 6 months we experienced the steering issues of wandering. We got with Barry at JoSams and had the power steering pump replaced as well as the swap to a TRW steering box.
We have been very satisfied with the work they performed. I would recommend seeing them in Orlando for your work.
We bought our ‘06 Knight 40DFD in 2010.
Have to ask: What steering box issue? I’ve been on these boards for years and hadn’t heard of it.
Monaco used two different brands of steering boxes. Shepard and TRW. Shepard’s are sloppy and have no adjustment. TRW’s can be adjusted. With most coaches it’s a fairly easy swap because the mounting holes are the same. If your steering is a constant back and forth feeling sloppy you should investigate the swap. Search this forum for a multi page thread started by Craig French many years ago. You won’t regret the change.

So who sells the TRW Kit and how do I know if mine is the sheppard box? 2007 Camelot. 40 pdq
Weller Truck in Grand Rapids Michigan is the go to company that know about the swap program started by former Monaco Knight owner Craig French. Search this forum for Craig’s name and you’ll find a multi page thread explaining the entire process.

Ok guys I checked my 2007 Camelot for excess play in the steering wheel and did not notice any excess. But when I drove it home to Idaho from Az I did experience it pulled very hard to the left the steering wheel was around ten to fifteen degrees off center to track straight down the hiway. My question is do you think it is alignment ,tires or steering box issue. The tires are under 2yrs old with under 6k miles and are Toyo the coach has only 22k miles on it. My 99 sig had the tag and this coach is a single so I just originaly thought it was the single axle coach normal behaviors but I have a friend with a HR and same chassis and he claims his tracks straight no pulling. Not sure if his suspension, steering has any mods. I have a safe-t-plus stabilizer but have not put it on yet. Appreciate your opinions guys.

Thanks Paul and I agree 100% and it is going in to the shop for alignment and the stabilizer install but I wanted to get some other posibble issues qoing in so I dont get blindsided. I like to know what it may involve and cost.
