New Owners

Hello All,
We are the proud new owners of a 2006 Monaco Knight 40 DFD coach. We do know about the steering box issue and after driving it home from Glenwood Springs to Denver, it is definitely an issue. Is there anyone here in the Denver area that knows a shop that can do the Sheppard to TRW steering box kit? We are moving to Florida in a few weeks and could really use the help!

I would deal with it till you get to fl and have Jonas in fl do it that way you get one of the best to look over the full suspension.

Fantastic vents

Anyone have issues with their fantastic fans not working? 2 out of the 3 start to spin when opening the lid and then stop, fuses are fine, possible bad motors?

Any thoughts and ideas would be very helpful!!

There's like old style car door dome light switch. It might be getting poor connection there. Try climbing on roof with it open use a little WD40 and twisting it bit with vent open and powered up.
Have you tried changing thermostat setting lower as well. Mine had vapor bulb thermostats up in cover, both were bad.
One would come on if it was good and hot when it cooled off few degrees it would stop. They are not a lot of fun to disassemble in place but not real advanced either. You can jumper most things to test.

The 2 that start to spin have a rotary dial that we have on high, still nothing. I will get up on the roof and take a look at them. Thank you all
If they turn out to be bad, we have to replace the whole unit, not just the inside fan/motor assembly?

The fan and clear bracket and blade sell between 35 to $50 . Per reviews the older black can Fasco motors are quieter than new pancake ones. I replaced blades rotary thermostats. It was difficult to remove metal hub off shaft from old style blade . New blade was all plastic with screw in center but was pressed on tight enough I know it will ever come off on its own. So did not drill and tap old motor shaft for a center screw.
I know they changed build over the years.
To drop the cover from the inside and remove fan assembly for testing it's not too difficult but it will take patience to reassemble and get the wires back in nice. You may also find they stuffed two ground wires in one end of butt connector for daisy chain , be suspicious of this practice causing issues anywhere on coach you have a problem.
