New to me and going to have questions

I have been reading all parts of IRV2 for months as part of my research.
I joined this group as I purchased a 1993 Crown Royal Signature Series 40' coach. I flew down to Southern Cal and drove her home 800 miles to Southern Oregon.
I can't believe I bought a coach sight unseen. Almost 200,000 miles and and only 2 owners and I am in love. She runs great but i while have many questions and projects so I hope I always post to the right forum for the subject.
I look forward to being part of the whole group but especially the Monaco owners group.

PS:I added and Avatar and a signature. Hopefully it will appear below.

Congrats on the new to you coach! Awesome to add another Signature Series owner to our ranks.

You’ve come to the right place, a wealth of knowledge I’ve found here.

800 miles is a great shake down trip! Throw up some pics if you get a chance. Those early 90s Crown Royals are quality built, lots of life left in it, if it’s been well taken care of.

All the best and enjoy it!
Josh

There are tricks to mechanical cummins to do with fueling plate and star wheel ...that's as far as I'll go into it. Sounds like you already been looking into it.. EGT gauge is necessary when doing any tweaking. You already have boost gauge. You already have decent power to weight ratio but 50 more hp is doable ,trans can easily handle it.
With new to you older rig there will be other things to do first.

Right you are about things to do first. A lot of time has been spent an the 12 volt system. Still have a battery drain on house batteries but I also now have 1200 watts of solar. The gas struts would not support any of the storage doors so they have all been replaced. Every interior light except the fancy 120 volt light over the dining room table is now LED. Slowly working on systems. I have ordered an ARP controller and blowers to keep the fridge working. I tried it on MAX and after 24 hours on gas it was -10 in the freezer and 25 in the fridge half. Nice Dometic.

Almost ready to tackle the install of the fuel plate mod from TST. Should get me more horsepower.

So far I love the Green Beast.

I can tell you are already enjoying the work you are putting into your Green Beast. I have my first diesel pusher (2002 Holiday Rambler Ambassador) and know very little about it. We plan to leave Crawfordville, Florida October 6. We have reservations at Cherokee, North Carolina. I have never driven the diesel in the high hills. It's still new to me. I have to find the fuel filters so I can match them to new ones in case I have to change them.

I am enjoying all I have done so far. Now I have a new wireless back up camera to install but the old one is inside the rear cap and there is no access at all. I can mount the new one externally but I wanted to access the wiring so It is powered on when driving as I have a toad. I can get power from the nearby clearance lights I believe but then I have to drive with lights on.
