If it is working fine, what did you do to make it work fine?

I installed a new pump once and had the same problem. I got the pump to work by taking off the output hose and sucking on that hose. It worked!!!

Water pump
Check the winterizing shut off. If opened a crack pump will suck air. Been there, done that.

New pump shouldn't need priming. I assume you've done the obvious - pump not plumbed backwards, not wired backwards, water in tank, supply line from tank not blocked. To prime the pump, connect a fresh water hose to the input side of the pump. Turn on pump and hose. May take quite a lot of pressure. It should start pumping.

I won't buy just any water pump for my coach. Chances are you got a piece of junk water pump.
I will only spend my money on the Aqua-Jet ARV/AES -55 model now made by Remco.

Your problem sounds similar to one I had several years ago. However, my old pump had not quit running, just no water passing through to the water system. I did everything that has been suggested prior to changing pumps. What I found to be the problem was the screen in the filter was completely clogged with a gel-like goo that was not visible until I took it apart. Cleaning the filter fixed my problem. Have no idea where the goo came from, but flushed the tank and system thoroughly after finding the problem. I sanitize every year before the camping season, so I suspect there was something in the container I use to mix with the bleach to sanitize.

Just wondering...on these RV pumps, I assume you can pull the endllate off and simply look at the rubber impeller? I know the FW pumps on boats you can.

In my coach the water pump acts like that is the street water valve is in the wrong position. It took me a long time to figure that one. I guess people might call that the winterizing valve as mentioned above.

Most are gravity fed, diaphram pumps, require no priming, but when first turned on, delay in pressure caused by pump filling HW Tank and piping. Turn on walk away for 3-5 minutes and walk around outside twice to check for leaks and open valves? If all good, then is there a CRIMPED HOSE BETWEEN pump and tank? Or Valve between tank/ pump that is closed? (Most have no valve from factory)
