No AC getting to coach from 50 amp connection, but Gen works fine

My 99 Monaco has no power when connected to AC Power , but the generator works and powers the AC appliances and outlets.

Sounds like the transfer switch to me . Any other thoughts ? How do I check this ?

Steamy hot here in the southeast. Leaving on a trip in 24 hrs !

Thanks !

If you don't have in inline surge guard that may be shutting down due to low park power, transfer switch is a distinct possibility, BUT first have you checked the parks power at the post?
As per this diagram.

Without knowing your brand of transfer switch , setting up to test things is a little difficult. But I'll tell you how I'd go about testing mine.

In the picture below of my transfer switch , with the cover removed.
Right side of the switch are the shore power connections.
The wiring entering the bottom is from the power cable , with the cable plugged in , using the white wire as the common connection for your meter, connecting the meter to the red then the black terminals should give you approx. 120v each. Then moving to the top right side , the same readings , if not there is no power through the transfer switch.
Note; in the picture the green led on the circuit board , below and behind the wiring, on my switch , if the led is not lit , that would be an indicator of a problem.
If you don't have any info on your transfer switch, if you could post the make and model. Maybe we can get better info on it.

If the shore power plug you were using was good then the transfer switch is a prime suspect.

What model coach do you have???

Prior to Sept 2001 Monaco had been using the
Iota TS-50R transfer switch. These switched had lots of problems, they would get hot, melt, catch fire. Ultimately there was a recall for the ones affected.

After Sept 2001 they started to use the Lyght LPT50BRD, this is what I have, seems to be very dependable.

Keep us posted on the problem & Fix
