Started to get ready this morning to take a weekend trip, and would only air up on left side while right side stayed deflated.

This is a first for me and never even happened in all the years I was a truck driver [38yr].

I am lost.

Your right rear ride height control valve is stuck. You might be able to touch the lever on it with a stick and it may be OK. It might never do it again, it may always do it every time you air down. Sometimes the swivel pin where the lever attaches to the rod gets rusted and sticking. A bit of rust penetrant might help.

Happened to me three years ago. Had to replace all three ride height control valves.

If you're in freezing weather, it could be ice in the air lines. Some brake line antifreeze will solve it.

Thanks for the reply about the leveling device. I have set a bunch of them, but never had one lock up on me. Yes, I live in a cold climate and it has been that way. But today it was in the low 50's, so got out and started to prepare and came to a complete halt. bummer. :-)

Suppose to be another warm day tomorrow the little woman says, so will get out and do some crawling around tomorrow. ha

Once you find the way to fix the ride height valve, you'll want to make sure that the ride height is set right. For now, making sure that both sides are the same is OK. You'll want to find the ride height specs for your coach and check/adjust them so they are right. It can make a difference to how the coach handles and rides, and it is critical for the driveshaft to have the ride height set right.

I have the suspension leveling device fixed, now where do I find the height specs for my coach? I have browsed my manual quite a few times and have never came across height specs. One way I would think, is since one is original, put a level across bumper and even up other side. I know on the trucks, it was measured from top of air bag bracket to bottom air bag bracket.

That is a good question OnJ, the info I have only goes back to 2000 and the Sig's ride height is 9 and 9. I doubt that the New Monaco will be any help but worth a try. The Exec, Sig and Navag shares the same ride height specs from 2000 to 2006. If you cant find out the specs I would set it so it looks at about the ride height and go with that I would also use the old procedure of getting the measurements off of the main frame and box frame.

The only info I can find for the Crown Royale is for 1989. 11 1/2"front, 7 1/2" rear. You could check if that looks right on your 1990.

To tell you the truth, darned if I really know exactly where I originally found that info. A couple of years ago, I was scrounging around looking for ride height specs for our coach. Anything I found about Monaco ride height I wrote down in my scribble book, later put it into electronic files. I found this info in my scribble book.
