No more nylon hold down straps for the batteries

Bought 2 pieces of angle iron 6' x 3/4" x 1/8" and made two 17 1/2" square brackets and attached a small section of 1/2" DOM tubing on two sides of each of the square brackets. Also purchased two 3/8" x 3' all thread plus 4 3/8" wing nuts and 4 3/8" locking nuts and 4 large washers. Cut all thread to length needed

New battery hold down below:

Only place I know for the straps would be Monaco but has to be other places.

Try a boat shop or in any marina.

I bought luggage straps from Walmart that are bout 2 inches wide and a plastic latch. They are very strong and will not corrode. I think they were about 3 or 4 bucks each. They work very well.

BlueMoose105: Check this site for description of DOM.

DOM Steel Tube (Drawn Over Mandrel)

I just happened to have some of this leftover from my Jeep project so I used it.

Ha Ha that's a good one, I'll add that to my specs if I ever need to build another one.
