So your problem could be buried somewhere don't have access to. So if you have to reroute the circuit >>> go for it.
Thanks. It may not be pretty, but will be functional. We have certainly had the occasional critter in the ceiling too. I do hope to, at least, isolate the section where the wire is bad so there is no arcing or overheating. Having the wiring diagrams is a blessing.
