No power to television
I am helping a friend with a 2000 Holiday Rambler. There is no power to the 120VAC outlet above the cockpit. The breaker is on and good. I am aware this outlet is cut off when the ignition switch is on. I have a wiring diagram showing a 12VDC relay connected to the ignition switch. Can anyone tell me where this relay is physically located?

I disabled my relay on the 2002 Monaco Windsor when I got it in 2012. I think it was in the cabinet behind the TV, but not sure. I just disconnected the 12 VDC power from it!

I don't know about the relay, but sometimes a few select items in the coach are powered through the 'Inverter'. It may be that there is a problem with the power coming out of the inverter. You might check that until someone gives you feed back about the 'Relay'. Best wishes.

Problem resolved
Thanks MSHappyCampers. I had not looked inside the television cabinet because my friend had mounted a larger flat screen covering that cabinet. We moved the TV and found the relay in that cabinet. I checked and found 120VAC at that outlet. I put keys in and turned the ignition switch on and it opened the circuit. Everything is working as it should. We plugged the TV into that outlet and everything works. I don't know why he thought the outlet was not working. I'm a little embarrassed.
Love this forum and the help that people provide.

The most common location for the interlock relay is the outlet box the outlet is mounted in, it is part of the outlet assemble, though there is no reason it can not be elsewhere. They make a special outlet that has the interlock built in and that is how most do it.
Also, if the RV has an INVERTER. True story follows:
Neighbor had problems, half the outlets in his RV did not work including the TV and Microwave...... They came to me "HELP".
One of the circuit breakers on the inverter was tripped.
Sometimes it's on the inverter, and in his case took out half the outlets, IN my coach it's a "Sub Panel" (2nd breaker box) and would only take out the TVs and related electronics.

The relay is to keep you from watching TV while driving, but that
means no one else can watch TV either.
So you can just bypass the relay then everyone can watch TV
even while driving.
