Could not get propane stove lit last week. ensured valve was open and checked gauges. guage on tank showed 1/2 full, while guage on monitor panel showed 3/4 full.

Neverless, had the propane filled up - took 13+ gallons - again why we should only trust guages so far?

Now in trying it --

Guage on propane tank shows 3/4 full.

guages inside rig show full.

Valve to propane tank to turned full 'counterclockwise(lefty tighty / righty loose for all execept propane values). Isn't it?

Still no propane to stove or fridge.

Only use propane for stove or refrigator as have aqua-hot.

Refrigator will not 'light' up on propane NOR will stove light up. Do not hear / smell propane at stove when trying to light it.

Have tried the valve in both positions ( full clock wise OR full counter-clockwise.)

Do not know of a propane shut-off inside the rig - although the 'detector' was replaced last winter.
Had used propane 2-3 time last month as wife usually used the crock-pot for cooking

Any ideas / suggestions?

Do I have the on/off valve turned the correct way - full counter-clockwise?

Hello Lee, if your lines have air in them or have just lost line pressure your excess flow valve in your tank might be snapping shut when you open it, close the valve on the tank, listen for a "click" sound, that will be the flow valve opening, then open the valve "really slow" and make sure you do not hear the click again, and them try to light the stove top, it might take a bit to get the propane to it before it lights. And yes, counterclock wise is open, you will have to seat the valve for the excess flow valve to reset.

Had this happen once and finally was shown that there is a hydro carbon monitor some where in your mh. If it got tripped you need to push the reset button cause it controls an electric valve to shut the gas off in case of a pipe break or a unattended flame going out and filling your mh with propane-- that get dangerous so the sensor. So look for a module in the wall some where that may have a push button in it somewhere, on my Winnebago it was low near the floor but my current mh it's about chest high going into the bedroom.

From the LP tank, after the shut off valve and the regulator there is probably a 'box' around the gas line with a couple of wires going in it. This is an electric shut off valve controlled by your LP detector. You said you replaced the 'detector' last winter, was this a standard LP detector with wires to operate the electric shut off valve? Since you said you've used it a few times since then, it doesn't seem like that should be the issue, just mentioning it. Definitely shut off valve firmly, then turn back on. Turn on gas at the stove and sniff. It will take a moment or two for air to get purged and gas to flow.

Probably saying the same thing really. Gauge on tank is showing 75% which is close to what the OverfillProtectionValve shuts off at. Gauge inside is showing 100% which is also correct since that is as much as can be put into the tank.

I would check the detector, if it is off line the valve will not open.

There is a switch on a panel next to the fill point for the propane tank, it is to be shut off when filling, and turned back on when done. Mine has an indicator light also but, it was burnt out, I replaced it although to switch worked fine. You can hear a click from the electic switch on the propane tank if you flip it off and on. One time it seemed to stick open but turning switch on off and on fixed it.
Check the reset on the gas detector, that turned mine off too.
