No rear ladder on Navigator, why not???

I was wondering why most navigators (at least 90's models) don't have an access ladder?? I really like having one on my endeavor. Is it ok to put one in? Is there any backing where they would mount??

Any help or suggestions welcome.

Most high end coaches don't have ladders.

Maybe the manufacturers think they're unsightly or high end owners don't go on the roof?

You can have one mounted and there is support build into the rear cap for one. My sister and brother-in-law had a '96 HR Endeavor and it had a ladder. When I bought my Alpine I had one mounted because I want to check things out from time to time and wash the top.

Yeah I guess I see your points! I have seen only one navigator with a ladder. I would like to check things out too.

I'm not a Monaco owner, but check out the telescoping ladder. It sinks down to a very manageable item and can be stored easily. Besides being able to access the roof with it, it can be use for cleaning the windshield, and those midnight excursions to trim a branch, and a variety of other things. It may be less of a cost than installing a roof access ladder.

Route 66,

I once owned a Country Coach Concept and now have a Beaver Marquis. I believe they would be considered high end. Both have ladders. You must be referring to Prevost conversions and maybe Newells. I can not explain why the HR Navigator does not have one.

My Exec. doesn't have one either and am not sure it was even an option. To me anyway,it is not a problem as i have to carry a ladder for other things anyway, sun screens washing ,cleaning windows etc.so why the need to carry two....the bottom would have to be removable and stored to open engine compartment door IMHO

My Signature has a rear ladder and the Signature is considered a half step above the Navigator. I go up and clean my solar panels on a regular basis.
