No Water into coach
New problem this morning...no city water! Campground has water. I removed my Watts regulator at the spigot..nothing. I removed a check valve at the Swan valve coming in..nothing. I flip the Swan valve back and forth and no water goes to either the fresh tank or the coach. Is there something I am missing?

Mike, I guess I'm not understanding what you're saying. If you remove the hose where it connects to the freshwater inlet in the wet bay, do you have water coming from the hose?

If you're getting water to the input of the Swan valve, and you can switch it both ways and not get water to either the freshwater tank OR into the coach, then it seems to me that the Swan valve must somehow be bad! I've never heard of that happening, but anything's possible!

Do you have water in your fresh water tank. If so try your on board pump and see if it pumps water ??

Yes, we have onboard fresh water and the Shurflo pumps it.

If there's already water in the tank, how can you be sure the Swan valve is not putting water into it?

Do you see or have a filter in the wet bay?

It is only about half full and it is only about 10 inches away...I can always hear the water.

My filter is located externally, and I have eliminated it from the equation.

This is one of those things that defy common logic! If it's getting to the Swan valve but not out of it, then there's nothing else it can be except the valve itself!

Glad I didn't change it out! I have three spigots on my water riser, one for the coach, one for my hose and an open one. I kept getting a pretty strong water release from the one open spigot. That's what lead me to start looking elsewhere. Turns out the park water was OFF! We are somewhat downhill from the rest of the park and what I was seeing was residual water left in the pipes flowing downhill.

Glad you got it figured out.
Public Service Announcement: I hope the park has backflow preventers installed on all of their spigots (and that some people didn't remove or circumvent them) as this is the precise scenario for which they are designed. The water is now flowing backwards from the spigots higher on the hill and down to you. If someone has a hose that's turned on, with the end laying in a puddle or other dirty water source (or connected to a black tank flusher ) then it could be sucking that dirty water into the pipes and into your coach.
