Norcold fridge leaking

Hello I just purchased a 2000 Monaco dynasty with a norcold 1200 fridge with ice maker. I just turned it on and it runs but there is a small drip of water coming from the front underside of the fridge. Any ideas would help. The ice maker connection isn't leaking.

You might remove the outside access panel behind the refrigerator and check for any water leaks from line that supplies water to the icemaker.

Good luck and let us know if you find the source of your water leak.

If it isn't the ice maker solenoid valve check the line going up to the back for the icemaker.

Also check the condensate drain, there is a tray under the cooling fins that catches the condensate. The tray slides in and attaches to a fitting that goes out the back of the fridge and then down the back and drains out to the ground. If this is the line that is dripping then this is normal.

Hello. There's no water in the tray below the cooling fins and the water supply is disconnected to the fridge. It's dripping rt below the bottom doors at the front of the base of the fridge. the drip line looks clear as well.

Very strange, I would turn off water pump, and if you're connected to an outside water source, disconnect from it, wipe up water from area under base of fridge and see if it's still leaking. If not, then there must be a water supply line somewhere under the fridge that's leaking when water pump is on or you're connected to shore water.

Only other source I could think of would be if it's raining it could be coming from the fridge vent on roof.

Keep us posted on your progress...

Good luck

Do not rule out that there is a leak on the roof, the Norcold relies on ventilation behind the fridge which is done by having a hole up through the roof. There is a plastic cover over the refrigerator. The seal on the cover could be bad and/or the plastic cover could be broken. If water drips down on the fridge it could run down the side and come out at the location you are describing.

I don't think it's the roof vent it hasn't rained here in weeks and wasn't leaking until I turned the fridge on. Going to turn all the water off and leave fridge on and see if it leaks still

Maybe it's a condensation leak from a bad gasket seal?

Other than the ice maker, there is no water that hooks up to the fridge. It's either condensation, thawed ice from the fins or the ice maker (or its components) IF it's coming from the fridge.

Condensation line is plugged up I bet or the little worthless black tray in the outside compartment is full. When the humidity is high I route the tube out the vent and let it drip on the ground.

Mine leaked and discolored the wood trim just below the doors. As I recall, the plastic drip tray had moved and wasn't catching the condensation from the fins. The water being clear and against the white background in the fridge made it very hard to see. Not sure where yours is coming from, but just my experience.
