My front A/C started to make a racket. Investigation revealed the cooling fan rubbing against its housing. While trying to figure out why this had got out of level, I discovered that raising the left rear of the A/C shell eliminated the rubbing problem. While at rest, I'm using a rubber door stop to hold that corner up.
Now the question is. Why did that rear corner get lower? Is there the possibilty that walking down the left side of the roof has compressed it in that area creating an out-of-level condition? If so, how would one correct the situation?
Let me hear it Mechanical Engineers!
