Oil filters

Changing oil for first time in my ISC 350 Cummins 8.3 existing filter is a Wix. I purchased a fleet-guard and it has a (baffle) in the center of the interior and the wix is much more open on the ID. Can anyone advise if i am ok using the Fleet-guard that I have? should be the correct part number and that is the only difference that i see.
thanks for any info.
Rusty

I think the Fleetguard filter is a LF9009 then you're correct in using it.

My Cummins book said LF3000 so that is what I bought just different from the wix inside so I was concerned.

The LF9009 is the upgraded filter for the LF3000. Forget about Wix. Fleetguard is Cummins own company. Great filters! The LF9009 has some sort of venturi and better media.
