i was driving down the road yesterday, everything was ok, I looked down at my gauges and the oil pressure gauge was down past the 120 psi mark..

We wre just a few miles from we were going to stop so I listened to the enginge it sounded fine so we went on.. When I turned off the ignition switch the oil pressure gauge still shows 65 psi.. So I figured that the sender shorted out .. and burned up the gauge.. Does anyone have any experience in changing the sender and or gauge???

OH!!! 2002 Monaco Windsor 40 PBT Cummins ISC 350 trubo...

The sending unit is on the front of the engine near the alternator. Have replaced mine for the same reason. Easy repair and fixed the problem.

Hello again; Wellllllll, I located the sending unit, removed it, cleaned it trying to find a part #. While there was no trace of any part # on it, it's a VDO unit which I thought would be an easy find, VDO being a well known manufacturer of gauges and sending units. NOT. I went to Kenworth first, they being the closest authorized Cummins dealer. Apparently this unit was added by Monaco as a redundant monitoring system to the one that is connected to the ECM. I then tried two auto parts stores and finally went on line to the VDO website. Same result, the gauge is a 0-120 psi unit, VDO doesn't make a two wire sending unit that reads over 80 psi?? The sending unit is located by the oil filter, and is screwed into a 45 degree i/8" n.p.t. street elbow to avoid contact with the turbo plumbing. I'm questioning that Iv'e located the correct sending unit. I mistakenly replaced the one on the other side of the engine, (along with the gauge) which didn't fix the problem. It apparently was the one going to the ECM. Any chance you have a part # for that sending unit? While investigating, I also noticed I have a cracked exhaust manifold which I'm attacking today. Gentlemen; you can add a signature line to your posts, so you don't have to type in your coach info every time .
From your " User CP " on the left side of the page, click " Edit Signature" type in the info and then click save at the bottom of the page, and the info will automatically appear below your posts.

Can't seem to get the edit feature to work on my last post , just brings up a font change option??

I had the same problem.. It is a VDO.. Cummins gave me a part number, I still could not locate one..I bit the bullet, called Veurinks RV Monaco Parts 616.965.9633.. That is the only place I could find it..and it is about $100.00 dollars...
Another iRV2 subscriber wrote that there was a replacement from Amazon VDO 360009 Pressure Sender, I do not know if this is correct....

I replaced mine and found it on Summit Raccing.com. You need to ensure you get the right pressure for example 0-120psi. Mine had two wires, one was for the pressure and one for a low alarm. Mine was a ISC 330 HP. Summit has them much cheaper than a Diesel shop and they are true VDO. If you search my previous posts you might find it . Good Luck.
