onan generator no power

I started my generator and it ran fine but I'm not getting any power to the coach or I guess the inverter. If I turn the inverter switch to on I have power and it says it's charging but it won't kick on to run the AC's? I tried moving the 2 switches on the right side of the start panel which I think are a breaker and fuse though not sure. Any ideas where to look for fuses or breakers or any other ideas. thanks

Jim,

If your remote control for the Invertor says that it's charging, then it must be receiving 120vac. By the way, it will perform its battery charge function with out turning the investor on.

Look at the front of your generator where the control panel is. If you have 2 breakers, one of them may be off or tripped.

There should be two switches on the generator itself. Make sure these are both on.
Do you need to plug your power line into an internal box? Some MHs did not have an automatic transfer switch, and the power cord had to be plugged into either AC power or into a transfer box for the generator.
There are also probably a pair of fuses on the inverter...but that should have nothing to do with the air conditioning. In my unit there are a pair of 20amp fuses.
Good luck.

I tried moving the switches off then on but it didn't make a difference. This does have the auto transfer switch as I've never had a problem unhookin from our home plug and starting the gen and having it run, the only time was when the oil was low and the safety wouldn't allow it to run. What i meant about the charging was when I turn the inverter on the lower light on the inverter panel lights but then again it lights every time I turn the inverter on so maybe this doesn't have anything to do with the generator. I just thought abaout it I had the engine worked on at the cat garage could they have unhooked something while replacing an injecter and belts?

I had an RV mechanic check the auto trans switch and he said that I'm only getting 59 volts to each leg of the trans switch and should be getting 110. I guess I need to contact an onan service next or is this not correct? any ideas.

I realized now that the generator isn't reving up if I rev it I get my voltage needed. What makes the generator rev up. I can't remember if mine runs at idle then revs up whenpower is need or runs full throttle?
