Oshkosh Airventure 2021... Going?

My wife and I will be arriving most likely on Friday 7/23/21 and staying through about Thursday 7/28/21 in our 2004 quad slide 40' Camelot.
I will post here where we end up in Camp Scholler once we get there.

Timaz from this forum is already there in his Monaco. Who else is going?

It would be nice to meet anyone else from the forum who is going to be there.

I always enjoyed flying in (my wife...not so much). Never had anything get too sketchy and as crazy as it sounds listening to ATC on the radio, once you get in line at Ripon it typically amounts to just following the guy in front of you and making sure you land short of him (and then turning off into the grass or taxiway ASAP so the guy behind you doesn't hit you.)

I don't mind camping under the wing and it makes it nice having a shaded spot to watch the afternoon airshow, but having the coach is going to be nice!

Here is a pic from several years ago in our Piper Pacer at Oshkosh.

I would love to go in my coach. Spent a few years under a wing with my dad in his Stinson 108-2. Best times EVER in the 70s. Flying into the pattern to land was the most crazy thing ever! My dad told me watch for airplanes. I thought well dad the sky is full of them! I remember Ripon and the Omro water tower?
He won best Stinson and reserve grand champion classic one year. I thought we were pretty famous! Oh what memories, I miss my Dad.

I am sure the camping areas are booked for years out?

"I am sure the camping areas are booked for years out?" Nope, you can still just show up. Don't know about the power sites.

Wish I could be there, maybe some day. I'm not a pilot but I sure do like the old birds. A friend of mine was an FBO at Detroit Metro and he used to annual what is arguably the finest Staggerwing ever built. The guy that owned it delivered them during the war and tracked this one down after the war because it flew so well. He kept it airworthy up into the 90s I believe. It has since been sold but what a neat airplane.

We will be there but not until next weekend. It will be our first time. Have hard it's a fun event. Will likely stay in the generator area (if our friends who are staying in a tent are allowed to join us.) Have two Kawasaki Z125s that will be with us. Flag me down if you see me riding by!

Went to OSH for 15 years, but time and age made me in a QB, sold the RV-6A. Miss not going, maybe will go back one more time, one day.
