Out shopping

Looked at a 2006 Lapalma diesel 34pdd. Owner says it has air ride suspension. I could not see any air bags. Mfg brochure lists spring suspension with no options. Roadmaster RSR rails suspension. I did not drive it yet but would expect shorter wheel base and lighter GVWR to be a little bouncy on less than stellar highway.

If you looked under it, and did not see air bags, and the brochure lists spring suspension, you should assume that you do not have air suspension, and the owner is not certain of what he speaks. A short wheelbase may be a little more bouncy, but I don't think it'll be unbearable.

This brochure says it has leaf spring suspension - no options mentioned as to air suspension, as you said.

Also, I have read about some concerns with the cable system used on the slides. Check to see if it is one of the 4RR chassis that are on a very expensive recall that would be at your expense, since the Monaco corporation that built it went bankrupt, and the new Monaco corporation apparently will not honor the recall.

Others will no doubt chime in with experience on this model.

Have fun looking!
