Outside Entertainment TV Dropped at Low-Battery

We had an odd occurrence today when our park had to shut down all pedestal power for upgrades and maintenance.

What we've learned in the past, is that with this coach (understand it's with many others as well) when our batter charge is at a lower point - typically in the "11.x" area - strange things seem to happen, like the power door locks will engage locking us out of the rig (if we're outside, gone for the day). It was problematic the first time. But we've learned to always check power and ALWAYS TAKE OUR KEYS WITH US!!!!!

This time, the Outside Entertainment TV lowered/dropped (located in our passenger's slide) all by itself at low-battery. Although from what I remember is wasn't that low. Maybe low "12.X." I do remember that I had to start my engine before I could start my generator.

Now the problem: I haven't watched TV for almost four years (life's simply too precious to waste it on the stupid TV programs - with very few exceptions). So I've never used the outside TV. I looked through our manuals and checked all of the many remote controllers for a button/switch to activate this TVs movement in any direction. Nothing!!!!!

Anyone out there have an outside entertainment center know where to look to get this TV back up into the passenger's slide!?!??!?!

On my 07 Navigator, the switch is on the left side of the door as you walk up the steps. Not sure where Monaco put theirs though.
On edit, here are 2 pics of those switches

dverstra:

Thanks for that manual. But that one "Lifts" for 'Inside viewing." Mine "drops down out of my passenger's slide" for outside viewing.

Also, that remote is not part of the collection of remotes we got with this coach.

But thank you for you help.

Thats the exact opposite of how I would expect and engineer to design around a low voltage situation.

The Monaco interior coach systems after model year 2005 are controlled by the Intellitec multiplex system. When voltage spikes above or below normal operating parameters these multiplex systems can do strange things.

The batteries and inverter system should keep everything running smooth.
Are your house batteries going bad?

You can also set up the auto gen start to prevent this from happening.

"Intellitec Multiplex" (IMS)should have an UP - DOWN button for the exterior TV. But search as I have - several times - I cannot find it. The only UP - DOWN IMS buttons I can find is specifically for the INTERIOR front TV which resides in the ceiling. Do you know of another specifically for the EXTERIOR TV?

Never could get my auto-gen-start to work.

Monaco/HR just inverted it for drop down use. Here is a couple of pics of mine. First one is inside view without the couch and cabinet that is around it. Second pic is outside of coach after TV upgrade. When I bought the coach, the TV and lift were removed and laying in one of the bays. I have more pics if you are interested. I'll email you an mp4 file since I cannot post that because of its size.

YUP!!!!! That's it. The part number for the remote is: 9:12221222. I've contacted the REV Group to ask if they have a remote for sale. But (even though I'm typically a very positive person) I doubt they would carry this. Fingers crossed!!!!!

Do you know of a USED RV site that I might contact - maybe they'd have a trashed Monaco with this remote???

Any other suggestions would be much appreciated.

Anyone have an extra remote they'd sell me? Or live close enough I could borrow to get my TV up and out of the coming rain? I'd gladly pay UPS or USPS shipping charges both ways!!!!
