Outside temp sender 2008 Monaco Diplomat PDQ
My out side temp jumps from -40 to 20 degrees. Anyone know where it is located and who I can get a replacement?

On our '06 Dynasty, it was a thermocouple type probe mounted behind the fuel bay door on the driver's side of the coach, in the aft corner.

On my 06 Beaver it is located inside the drivers side mirror arm. Bought a package of 10 on line for .50 each not $40.00 for one as quoted. Mine was a standard Type " P " thermocouple. Your issue sounds like a loose connection. A failure of the probe will give you a ridiculous number but it stays locked in. usually a open will be way high and shorted will be way low. Hope this helps

Hi Ken,
What was your source for the Type P Thermocouple?

Safe travels

Not sure who supplied it but I believe it was thru Amazon. I did have to cut the connector off the old one and solder it on the new one so it would plug in the Aladin module but that did not affect the reading

Ken,
If you get a chance to find the details in your order history on Amazon, it would be much appreciated.

On my 08 Endeavor, which is a sister to yours, it’s located above the fuel tank on the RH (curb) side of the coach. The sensor is if I remember correctly a temperature sensitive diode, I had to replace mine, it was doing what yours is. It just like a wire hanging down with a piece of heatshrink tubing over it.
I’ll see if I can find any more, I may have some spares. PM me your contact info and I’ll send you a couple, pretty sure I know where they are.

If DenisZ doesn't find any Let me know and I will look for my spares as I should have some on hand and I will mail you one, They are sometimes referred to as a Thermistor as it is a resistor that changes resistance with temperature. Often just looks like a little drop of solder on the end of 2 wires
