Parking brake light. 06 Camelot PDQ

The parking brake works normally but the dash light is extremely slow to indicate the parking brake is on. Thus, the levelers can not be extended until the light circuit and the relay for the levelers will not energize. It may take hours for the light to come on. Since it does eventually come on, I discounted the switch. Any Ideas?

the nason switch that is on the parking brake plunger is slow to react, it sounds like. Replacing it will probably solve that.
